15. märtsil algusega kell 12.15 peab külalislektor Ulla Savolainen (Helsingi ülikool) loengu "Silence and Forgetting". Loeng toimub von Bocki õppehoones (Ülikooli 16) auditooriumis 215.
Loengu tutvustus:
The lecture deals with issues of memory and narrative, focusing on the relationship between personal and collective memory and issues of silence: what are the conditions that affect on which memories and events of the past get to be remembered and which do not? This question will be answered by introducing the concepts of tellability/untellability and master/counter-narrative. Issues of silence and forgetting will be discussed based on an ongoing research on the internment of German and Hungarian civilians in Finland in 1944-1946.
